Turbos looking to find winning form against Cantabs

The Turbos will be out to keep their winning run over Canterbury alive when they host the red and blacks in Palmerston North on Friday night.

Manawatu beat Canterbury in Christchurch last year and the Turbos also won last time the sides met in Palmerston North in 2016.

Coach Peter Russell has made just two changes to his starting XV from the side who lost to Counties Manukau last week with wings Adam Boult and Nigel Ah Wong coming into the side replacing Ben Werthmuller and Te Rangatira Waitokia.

In the only other change to the matchday squad, Tom Hughes looks set for his first game of the season.

The towering lock has been named on the bench. He was previously expected to return from his achillies injury against Auckland, but was a late scratching for the match.

The Turbos will be looking for consistency at set piece and with a fine evening forecast, will be looking for a chance to play running rugby.
