TEAM NAMED FOR PRESEASON GAME OF THREE HALVES

A host of debutants, including former All Black Brett Cameron, will get their first chance to shine for Manawatū in the Turbos’ first preseason match for 2021 against Auckland and Waikato in Taupo.
The match, which kicks off at 2.05pm at Owen Delany Park, will be a Game of Three Halves.
It will be first Manawatū appearance for recruits Harrison Allan, Jarred Adams, Ropate Rinakama, Veikoso Poloniati, Brett Cameron, Logan Henry, Taniela Filimone and Tima Fainga’anuku.
The Turbos’ Samoan internationals Tietie Tuimauga, Ray Niuia and Ed Fidow, Tongan international Siua Maile and New Zealand Under 20s players TK Howden and Joseph Gavigan will re-join the squad from Monday next week so are unavailable.
With that group missing, it opens the door for a host of uncontracted players to force their ways in.
Old Boys-Marist hooker Bryn Gordon, Te Kawau flanker Jason Myers, Varsity loose forward Julian Goerke, Old Boys-Marist’s Ben Werthmuller and Old Boys-Marist midfielder Sebastian Visinia will all get time during the two 40 minute matches.
It is the first of two preseasons with Manawatū facing Wellington in Levin on Friday next week.
The team will wear the Linton Army jerseys for the preseason matches.
