One of Manawatū’s favourites is coming home!

Jason Emery has signed to play for the Turbos four years since his last match.

He has been in Japan since 2018 when he signed with the Sunwolves and the Munakata Sanix Blues.

The 27-year-old played 54 games for Manawatū since his debut as an 18-year-old against Wellington in 2012.

The talented midfielder, who formed a devastating midfield combination at high school with Ngani Laumape, spent five season with the Highlanders between 2013 and 2017 racking up 35 appearances.

Returning to the Turbos, Emery brings plenty of experience along with some handy utility value having featured at No 12, 13 and 15 admirably.

Emery joins James Tofa and Josiah Maraku as signed midfielders with the side while outside back Taniela Filimone can also cover the midfield.
