Milner-Skudder re-signs with Canes until 2017

Turbos fullback Nehe Milner-Skudder has re-signed with the Hurricanes until 2017

There is no doubt amongst Turbos fans everywhere of Nehe Milner-Skudder’s form in his debut Super Rugby season. The coaches of the Hurricanes appear to be on exactly the same page after re-signing the rising star today explaining Nehe’s role in their future plans;

“Nehe will form part of a continuation of a powerful back three combination, and we look forward to having him with us for at least a couple more seasons.” Hurricanes head coach Chris Boyd outlined;

“He is a local product of the Hurricanes franchise, and it’s no secret that he is an exciting talent.”

The importance of local talent and embracing franchised regions player pool is something that is certainly acknowledged by Turbos head coach Jason O’Halloran;

“As I have said the Hurricanes have really benefitted from franchise contracting this year and picked up on some key prospects from all three ITM Cup provinces in their region,” he explained;

“Nehe is a great example and it is great to see him being acknowledged for his efforts with a new contract before the season has finished.”

Milner-Skudder was very happy outlining that to be playing this year was something he had been striving towards for some time

“It’s been a great year so far and I’m really enjoying being a part of Super Rugby with the Hurricanes. This team has such a strong brotherhood and I’m grateful that I’ve been given the opportunity to continue to be a part of it.”

No doubt on the All Blacks radar in the future Turbos fans everywhere will be looking forward to Nehe’s hopeful return to the ITM Cup in 2015 come August.
