Key players return for final preseason clash

A host of senior players will return for the Manawatū Turbos' final preseason match for 2020 against Wellington in Levin on Saturday.

Captain Jamie Booth, along with Hurricanes teammates Brayden Iose and Liam Mitchell have all been named to start in the match, as has Samoan international Filo Paulo.

Highlanders outside back and former All Black Nehe Milner-Skudder will play off the extended bench.

The match is a final chance for players to fight for starting places ahead of the first game of the Mitre 10 Cup next week against Northland.

Ben Wyness has been given the nod in the No 10 jersey with a new look midfield with Josiah Maraku shifting to second five-eighth and Nigel Ah Wong lining up at centre.

Drew Wild comes in at fullback, joining wings Newton Tudreu and Adam Boult.

In the pack, Tietie Tuimauga Sam Stewart and Kyle Stewart make up the starting front row with Paulo and Micaiah Torrence-Read at lock.

Mitchell will pack doen on the side of the scrum oppositie Johnny Galloway.

The match kicks off at 1.05pm and will be live streamed on the Turbos' Facebook page.
