The 23-year-old is a former New Zealand Under 20s representative and has played 12 games for the Crusaders and 16 games for Canterbury.
He has the rare distinction of having played his first two Super Rugby games in 2018 before donning his provincial colours for the first time.
He was part of the Crusaders and Canterbury programmes last season, but with a knee injury, missed out on the Crusaders for 2021.
Allan, who is now based in Palmerston North, is preparing for a return to the field for his new club Old Boys-Marist
He said he is four weeks away from being able to return to full contact.
Tawake, 24, played 10 games for the Turbos in 2019
The mobile tighthead prop was named the side’s rookie of the year in 2019.
He was initially signed to Manawatū for the 2020 season but was unable to come back into the country after spending the COVID lockdown period with his family in Fiji.
