Week 9 - Bay of Plenty

The high-flying Bay of Plenty Steamers ran away with the second half of the Turbos ninth match of the season, winning 46-10.

After a barrage of early attack, the Turbos looked to have weathered the storm from the Steamers in the first half when Fa'alelei Sione put Ngani Laumape away for a try, only to have the TMO rule a forward pass.

Adding insult to injury, Bay of Plenty countered with a try of their own just before the break.

Jamie Booth gave Turbos fans something to cheer about in the second half when he charged down two consecutive kicks to bag a try in the second half.
